Hi folks,

this does not really hav a direct relation to gear but anyway is useful. At http://www.wippies.com (Saunalahti daughter) you can register for a free account which besides freemail etc. also has a free PoC service. PoC you see in most US movies if you don't know it yet. It turns your mobile phone into some kind of radio, so you push the talk-button and speak and everybody in a defined group hears what you say. The whole thingy goes via GPRS/3G data. You can define basically an infinite number of channels for team, game, friends, etc. It works whenever your phone has some data connection via GPRS, 3G or even WLAN.
In Germany this is also pretty popular and used a lot by all kinds of people and companies. In USA it's used very much by the police as this naturally is totally tap-proof. No chance for scanner-listeners.
